hi guys!! sijing here from aussie! guess this blog is kind of dead.havent been used in the past year.god knows who will come back and have a look but if you do then HELLO and LONG TIME NO SEE MATE!haha! will have a quick look here once in a while:).life here is pretty peaceful without the hustle and bustle of singapore, but i sometimes do miss it. Alevels wasnt that good and gleeful so I'll be retaking it once again but in a different environment. Even though everyone is going to move on with their lives, I really want to thank you all for giving me a BLASTING time in the 1st 3 months in NJC and please do keep in touch and meet up once in a while :) take care loads everyone and all the best in the future!:D

haha i agree tt it was a fun outing. though it er, was pretty dumb tt i actually thought the outing was next thurs.

ok i changed my mind abt arcades. this arcade is quite fun, unlike last time when we would all be squeezing in front of the drum machine and staring at shaun and jerrine play. at least this arcade got pretty nice games to play and not tt crowded too.

Swensons' voucher

Hi,
as Haikal has already mentioned, 06S21 won $50 worth in vouchers for the recycling competition during the first 3 months.

Just to clear things a bit, it's for the newspapers, clothes, mags, etc, not for can tabs. Can tabs is for another house thing. Sad to say, it won't be transferred to your new house. FYI, Haikal is now in Ignis. All his contributions (which were to Aqua) have been reset! What a waste.

I think we should have an outing and eat somewhere, and spend the vouchers on desert, because Swensons' is not exactly the cheapest eatery around.

Any ideas? I'm not the best person to ask, because I don't go out often, so I don't know where the best eats are.

Thus opens the request for ideas.

hey guys!!! juz for those who don't already know, 06S21 Before JAE has won the recycling competition!!! and as a reward, we have 50 dollars worth of swensen's voucher.

So thanks must go out to the following people for their tremendous effort...

Yueh Hsin --- for the few bags of clothes that she brought.
Ray Chuan --- for the many many stacks of newspapers that he brought
Alexander Chern --- for the many many magazines and newspapers that he brought
Si Jing, Shaun and a couple more people --- for contributing to the can tabs!!!!

and maybe to me too? hehe.. for also contributing a lot more can tabs :P

ok.. so somebody.. organise the class outing? and I think we should try to get as many people as possible to come. because... it's a class reward kinda thing. so everybody should enjoy it, not just SOME people.

But I think the voucher is in safe hands... urm... that's if you call Ray Chuan's hands safe. I think it's relatively safe lah.. but maybe can put into Si Jing's hands also. 'Cause she canoeist mah... haha.. and I think canoeists cannot indulge in swensen's food right?? hehe... maybe we can eat and then she watch us eat. =P

I think some time during the holidays will be good. But take note of YLTC camp when organising it. Make sure dont clash.

Oh yah.. those not in NJC ones.. maybe can post the dates when ur free or when ur not free or smth? So that can collate and that make sure that you can be free for it...

haha just to make u all jealous, hc next week only has 2 days of lessons. tues got sum elections thing so no school, thurs is combined sports meet and fri is a public holiday. haha so only need to go for lessons on mon and wed. week 10 will be sum enrichment week for us too. so it means we only have 7 official days of lessons before the end of term 2. yay.

sijing came over to hc yesterday to see me. haha.

I don't know how many of you know, but I'm joining council!!! lol.. According to Jason, he sorta expected it to happen sooner than later. Oh well.. Wonder what did those words imply...

Hmmm...

Anyways, I had my interview today!!! lol. By... Han Kit. Yeah.. The 'Big Boss' of them all. And the rest are unknown to me.

But the best part I must say is...
- No need to sing school song
- No need to do stupid stuffs like 'entertain' them
- No need to do house cheers

LOL. I had a damn fun experience being in there lah. That's all I can say.

Actually... Don't know why I'm writing this. Oh well.. Just wanted to share my experience with you guys. =D

Hmm... Wonder how you people are doing btw... my class, s14, is fun lah. Must give them credit. But life seems rather... 'lonesome' these few days, if that's the correct word to you...

It's 'x' because its adapted from 'ex-06s21', something which only the special few of us belong to and that the current 06s21 cannot take away from us....

Now that I'm in another class, I really do miss the times that I once spent with x06s21. Those were really fun times... :)

I guess many of you have heard it. Yes. It is true. I am leaving 06S21 for 06S14, along with everybody except Ian.

IAN!!! You must teach the new 06S21-ers how to act stupid like Alexander, how to show the I-am-so-shocked face like Alex Zhang, how to crave sleeping like Xiaomin, how to be a Romeo's Juliet like Jean, how to disturb girls like Darius and last but not least, how to be a natural asshole like SiJing, ok??? MUST HOR!!! (ok lah... if the rest cannot, at least the last one must can.... :P)

Only then will 06S21 live up to its original name.

Well... It was fun while it lasted. I had a great time all the way from the beginning. Wait. Let me unfold my beginning with 06S21. ~~~

Urm... The hall was dark. The seniors were putting up their clan performances. The guy sitting beside me was in green shorts and a white shirt with weird shiny buttons all over him. I thought, "I just couldn't imagine wearing shorts at the age of 17, or rather, 15 and above. No. I really can't. You have leg hair and all that shit that puberty gives you, and then short pants makes it worse by getting you to reveal that. Other schools ask their upper sec to wear longs, why does his school have to be more... urm... showy? I wonder how he could put up with the crap the school he entered has beseiged upon him. Or maybe... He liked it. Hmm..."

Anyway, his name was (and still is) Shaun. My thoughts replied with the following... "Damn it. Another Shaun? Why couldn't he have some rarer common name? Like Sun or Sunny or Sung. I mean... I already know like... 5 Shauns in NJC. Doesn't help with him around! Or why couldn't he have some weird name nobody else has? Like Kannasai or Babuseng or even Shaunalana if he has to have the word Shaun in it!!! Argh... Shauns are going to take over the world."

Not to forget, he had some white hair at the tip of his fringe. If I wasn't any wiser, I'd thought he was an overaged kid. Now my mind was thinking real hard... "Urm. White hair? Not ex meh? Nice meh? Why not some other colour? Like... Pink? Purple? Worth it meh? Just still to black cannot arh? Maybe lah..."

(Ok.... No harm intended to Shaun. It was just my thoughts about the first person I met in 06S21, apart from Wan Ting who was already in my OG. Muahahaha....) And it ain't all true. Hehe...

Ok. Enough crap. Once again, back to school tomorrow. Oh shit... That reminds me. In same class as SiJing. Good? Bad?
Oh God! Oh God! Oh God! === Does it like how Charles Kingshaw does it while he was in the shed when being locked up by Edmund Hooper, adapted from the novel King of the Castle, written by Susan Hill.

(Haikal does not happen to have any grudge against SiJing. At times, he may act like he does, but that's only 'cause SiJing deserves it. Other than that, he is totally fine having SiJing in his presence. Although during his moments of PMS, he rather SiJing keep a distance of about the radius of NJC away to prevent SiJing from receiving any form of damage, be it physical or mental, because he is rather prone to want to just take it out on SiJing even without any prior notice or reasoning whatsoever. He just finds her... somehow... fun to disturb lah. Like how she is a natural asshole. :P)

LOL... If Shaun or SiJing reads this before tomorrow, I'm sure I won't live past tomorrow. But they can't. Or rather, hopefully they can't. I'm writing this at a very late hour. Heng arh... Hmm... I think I can live past the week even though they will eventually read this.

Readers, please grant Haikal your best wishes in case Shaun and SiJing decides to have policemen running over to NJC to investigate the dead body of Haikal when they finish slaughtering him. =D

heyo.. i'm here to blog again...

in like 12.5 hours time we have to go to school again... it would be like the first day our class is officially separated...

actually, i think the 8 weeks really passed very fast (excluding week 1 and week 10). it seems as if we have already known each other for a very long time... but sadly to say, the slacking period is over and we have to move to the mugging one. i really miss the days when we used to slack together as a class and deliberately going to lessons late, the days when we ponned school and lessons together and going out together for class outings, the days when we simply just spend lunch and breaks together ... it is rather hard for me to let go lah... but luckily it is rather easy for me to meet the class as it is only one street away.. still, we can have outings rite? remember our class birthday is 21 june... we'd better meet up on tt day...

anyway, to pae 06s21, good luck for the new term ok? have a great start and pay attention in class(though it is very hard lah). i will be coming back on tues (if the guard lets me in), because i have no school... haha...

It seems, Fate has yet decided once again to deliver its second blow to 06S21, possibly the coup de grace to finish us off. Only we can prove it otherwise but as of now, the results are unknown.

Many will be changing classes because of changing their subject combination. After the results are confirmed and out, please post as to which class you are in, so that we can still keep in contact hereafter. As previously mentioned, even though we might no longer be in 06S21 anymore, we can still be together as a group.

Haiz... That's life. Changes when we don't want it to happen. Changes when everything is going fine. Changes when we have yet to cope with a past change. Saddening. But that's life. Once again, we have to move on. We can't stay still and dwell in the past. It will be another sad day for 06S21 on the Monday of school reopen, but I guess, nothing can be done right? So let's just take it in our strides...

Oh... The kap outing on friday was enjoyable for me. Although it was quite like a 06S21 and the half with other class people coming along. But heck... Still had fun. Oh... Thanks to Yueh Hsin and Jason and Marcus and Kelvin (Last 2 not from 06S21) for teaching me how to play bridge. I had lots of fun!!!! :)

Oh yah... Is anybody taking part in NJCG? Hehe.... I'm taking part!!! So you all must support me hor!!! :P Although I don't even know what my chances of winning are. Just take part for the fun of it. If win, then happy... If not, then, never mind. Take part next year's one. Haah..

And 'A' Division Hockey National 11-a-side Tournament kicks off on 25 April for NJC. We are playing against Anderson JC. Please come down to Delta (near Redhill MRT station) to support us. We need your support. If not... at least I NEED YOUR SUPPORT!!!! :) Ok lah... If you free, just try to make it to watch us play k? We won't disappoint. hopefully...

had fun on fri, rushed over to kap after school, played BRIDGE and ASS HOLE DAIDEE... damn fun lah... later rushed back for lessons then rushed to far east...

sentosa outing was fun. but i'll let somebody else do a summary of it. :) somebody must do hor... but something interesting that alex said today.. ''Haikal today very lonely 'cause his gang (supposedly Yueh Hsin and Xiao Min) never come''. then talk about something to do with West wind and East wind and dunno which one is which wind and yada yada... whatever lah!!! to make you all a bit happier and let you all continue with this scandal, i shall admit! YES I WAS LONELY. happy now?

Jie Lin, i know you'd feel very very sad about losing Hilmi and Shaun. but the thing is, it's not just you ok? we all feel the loss too. we all feel that we've lost great people to be with. i agree that it's difficult to part with them, but if it has to happen, then let it happen. think about it this way... it's God's way of testing our willpower. we have to carry on with life no matter what. think of all those past memories where you had to leave great people behind and then think about the present. you made it, didn't you? so why can't you make it through one more time?

so don't think so much about it yeah? we all have bad times, and this must be one of the very ''lows'' of most of our lives (unless some people are totally emotionless or are detached from the class). frankly, i'm feeling really shitty myself too.

i'll let 06s21 know something. this loss is far greater than the loss that i experienced on my Prom Nite 2005. yes... far far greater. that night, i parted with people whom i nv felt much of an attachment for, just parted with people whom i had fun times studying with, playing soccer with, and crapping around with. but i guess 06s21 showed me something different when nobody was backstabbing, putting up facades and disguising their thoughts. i liked 06s21 for its frankness, for accepting my lame (sometimes funny) jokes, for letting me the freedom to express myself by... allowing me to make fun of SiJing!!! :P

ok... the more i talk about it, the worst my thoughts are. i think i should let the matter rest here. some last few words.. do take carez k??? as i said in the previous entry, DO GIVE ME A CALL IF YOU GOT NOBODY TO TALK TO.... i'll be glad to listen.. =D

heh.. look at it. things haf changed alot in the past 2 months yea? i came in as the guy with the biggest ego, and now haikal has taken over. =)

oh yea, friday was a bad day for us all in nj.. its like either ur leaving or u haf abt half ur friends leaving. not to mention that the next half a cohort that comes in will be so err. foreign to everyone.. i cant believe that so many people skipped the first period and stayed around the atrium.. so many people were crying, even those that were staying.. it reminded me of a warzone. but it was, wasn't it. half of our friends are going.

but heck it. i guess haikal's right (for once). noone's actually dying, we're just moving abit further away on this tiny dot island. we could always meet up for lunch and stuffs.

argh. wad am i saying. i cant lie to myself. I DUN WANNA GO!!! =

oh my goodness. haikal types like he is a dog waiting for adoption at the spca :P the last line at least. HAHA. oops :P

anyways. it was the saddest day at nj yesterday. or it was MY saddest day at nj. the only reason why im staying in nj is the people. yet, everyone is leaving to different institues to pursue different goals and dreams.. I felt very very sad because i'm going to miss my rojak class. ass two one you call us, forever not shutting up during civics lesson. but amazingly we all bond well. like wanting said, we met for every breaks and lunch. which other class does that?

we joke together, we played truth or dare, we had crazy forfeits at kap.. ponning lessons, or walking very slowly to the lecture theatre and finding no seats. we were always as a class. its amazing. it just is. never expected so many people to leave. no matter what, i've always thought and i've never doubt it,

I'm glad our paths crossed.

hi guys. it's your mugger CT rep talking here, so listen up. :)

last night was fun. altho i had to excuse myself from hockey training halfway thru, starved myself while waiting in Ramen and had only birthday fries for myself. :( but heck. i enjoyed it. every last bit of it. it was nice to see the us gathering together to see those who had to leave off and maybe to have fun for the last few times ever.

errmm... it was my second time in a neoprint thingy. i noe im deprived. but those picture taking was quite fun. altho i still think with camera is so much better cuz its FREE! if not free, at least cheap lah.

oh well.. for those who are leaving, we will definitely miss you (so cliche), and some ppl will be heartbroken, saddened, depressed (still so cliche), but the thing is, nobody is dying!!! we are all alive. we can still meet up or something! it's not like... it's a finality, some people are going overseas or something. that's not the case!!! so there's still much to salvage. cheer up ok???

if you all aren't sad enough, i think even those staying will eventually split up. that's according to mr tsang because very few people are staying in our class. so it doeesn't really matter whether you change combination or not, i think splitting up is an eventuality. so yeah.. just want to tell some of those who want to change combination but reluctant to do so because of wanting to stick with the class, JUST DO IT. =D we can still meet for lunch and that sorta thing. we can still sit together during lectures even if we have to sit in our subj class. we can still get away with lots of things.

its been almost 3 months together as a class... we started off cool and we shall always remain cool:).. like what every one says.. our class is like a rojak class... all our subject combimnations are very screwed and diff.. we dun always get to be together in the same class... but we still bonded real deep... posting are out.. i know that all of us are very sad.. those leaving and those staying are all splitting up.. and we wun get to see each other during breaks.. but i just wanted to say that thank you all for making s21 so special and we will never forget those who are leaving us... it is a time for partings and goodbyes.. even though it is very sad.. but as long as we remember each other and keep the class spirit up..we can still remain as s21..:) i really pray and hope that all those appeals can remain in nj and that the appeals are succesful.. and to those changing sub combi.. we will still get to see each other in sch... so hopefully will be in the same subject tutorial..life goes on no matter what.. haha.. like alex chen says.. singapore so small.. a dot on da map.. just shout my name and i can hear already..haha.. he toks weird sense..haha..i just hope that we wont be sad anymore.. move on with the knowledge that we will forever have s21 in ourhearts.. i had a really great time yesterday, be it at school or the dinner afterwards.
thanks for all the birthday wishes. for all those who went to the dinner, thanks for spending so much money on me yah? i really appreciate it. and for those ppl who rushed after school just to come down, an even bigger thank you to u all. that was truely one of the best birthday i had ever spent.

Hello, I'm wan ting. I know it's the first time I'm typing stuff here [cos SJ said I should type sth] and it's odd because I'm leaving. But I enjoyed my stay at NJ a great deal. I know I'm super quiet! XD

The class is fine and I'm kinda impressed. We are this rojak class and still manage to sit tgt for lunch breaks? That's cool. It's just so strange lah. I mean, we keep seeing everybody for 8 weeks and suddenly some of us just move off in different directions. Well, this is life, or so Mr. Tsang says, lol. Anyway, that's beside the point. Btw, who am I to say that right, cos I siam off myself.

The point is, this class is a pretty cool one though we're probably seen as terribly laidback. But I don't give a damn; there are so many classes around and all of them just can't be same. It's good lah, don't ever conform for the sake of conforming.

Finally, good luck to everyone, whether you're staying or leaving or appealing. I suppose the most important thing is to to do one's best to thrive in whichever school one is. Like duh, who doesn't know that.

Oh well. See you all someday!

Personal Goal Setting - Planning to Live Your Life Your Way

How to Use Tool:
Goal setting is a formal process for personal planning. By setting goals on a routine basis you decide what you want to achieve, and then move step-by-step towards the achievement of these goals. The process of setting goals and targets allows you to choose where you want to go in life. By knowing precisely what you want to achieve, you know what you have to concentrate on to do it. You also know what is merely a distraction.

Goal setting is a standard technique used by top-level athletes, successful business-people and achievers in all fields. It gives you long-term vision and short-term motivation. It focuses your acquisition of knowledge and helps you to organize your resources.

By setting sharp, clearly defined goals, you can measure and take pride in the achievement of those goals. You can see forward progress in what might previously have seemed a long pointless grind. By setting goals, you will also raise your self-confidence, as you recognize your ability and competence in achieving the goals that you have set. The process of achieving goals and seeing this achievement gives you confidence that you will be able to achieve higher and more difficult goals.

Goals are set on a number of different levels: First you decide what you want to do with your life and what large-scale goals you want to achieve. Second, you break these down into the smaller and smaller targets that you must hit so that you reach your lifetime goals. Finally, once you have your plan, you start working towards achieving it.

Starting to Set Personal Goals

This section explains how to set personal goals. It starts with your lifetime goals, and then works through a series of lower level plans culminating in a daily to-do list. By setting up this structure of plans you can break even the biggest life goal down into a number of small tasks that you need to do each day to reach the lifetime goals.

Your Lifetime GoalsThe first step in setting personal goals is to consider what you want to achieve in your lifetime, as setting Lifetime goals gives you the overall perspective that shapes all other aspects of your decision making.

To give a broad, balanced coverage of all important areas in your life, try to set goals in some or all of the following categories:
Artistic:Do you want to achieve any artistic goals? If so, what?
Attitude:Is any part of your mindset holding you back? Is there any part of the way that you behave that upsets you? If so, set a goal to improve your behavior or find a solution to the problem.
Career:What level do you want to reach in your career?
Education:Is there any knowledge you want to acquire in particular? What information and skills will you need to achieve other goals?
Family:Do you want to be a parent? If so, how are you going to be a good parent? How do you want to be seen by a partner or by members of your extended family?
Financial:How much do you want to earn by what stage?
Physical:Are there any athletic goals you want to achieve, or do you want good health deep into old age? What steps are you going to take to achieve this?
Pleasure:How do you want to enjoy yourself? - you should ensure that some of your life is for you!
Public Service:Do you want to make the world a better place by your existence? If so, how?

Once you have decided your goals in these categories, assign a priority to them from A to F. Then review the goals and re-prioritize until you are satisfied that they reflect the shape of the life that you want to lead. Also ensure that the goals that you have set are the goals that you want to achieve, not what your parents, spouse, family, or employers want them to be.

How to Start to Achieve Your Lifetime Goals

Once you have set your lifetime goals, set a 25 year plan of smaller goals that you should complete if you are to reach your lifetime plan. Then set a 5 year plan, 1 year plan, 6 month plan, and 1 month plan of progressively smaller goals that you should reach to achieve your lifetime goals. Each of these should be based on the previous plan.

Finally set a daily to-do list of things that you should do today to work towards your lifetime goals. At an early stage these goals may be to read books and gather information on the achievement of your goals. This will help you to improve the quality and realism of your goal setting.

Finally review your plans, and make sure that they fit the way in which you want to live your life.

Staying on Course

Once you have decided your first set of plans, keep the process going by reviewing and updating your to-do list on a daily basis. Periodically review the longer term plans, and modify them to reflect your changing priorities and experience.

An easy way of doing this is to use the goal-setting software like GoalPro5 on a daily basis - we review GoalPro on the left-hand sidebar, alternatively you can download GoalPro from Success Studios web site. GoalPro uses a similar set of categories to ones we recommend - either use theirs, or adapt the software to use ours.

Setting Goals Effectively

The following broad guidelines will help you to set effective goals:
State each goal as a positive statement: Express your goals positively - 'Execute this technique well' is a much better goal than 'Don't make this stupid mistake'

Be precise: Set a precise goal, putting in dates, times and amounts so that you can measure achievement. If you do this, you will know exactly when you have achieved the goal, and can take complete satisfaction from having achieved it.

Set priorities: When you have several goals, give each a priority. This helps you to avoid feeling overwhelmed by too many goals, and helps to direct your attention to the most important ones.

Write goals down: this crystallizes them and gives them more force.

Keep operational goals small: Keep the low-level goals you are working towards small and achievable. If a goal is too large, then it can seem that you are not making progress towards it. Keeping goals small and incremental gives more opportunities for reward. Derive today's goals from larger ones.

Set performance goals, not outcome goals: You should take care to set goals over which you have as much control as possible. There is nothing more dispiriting than failing to achieve a personal goal for reasons beyond your control. These could be bad business environments, poor judging, bad weather, injury, or just plain bad luck. If you base your goals on personal performance, then you can keep control over the achievement of your goals and draw satisfaction from them.

Set realistic goals: It is important to set goals that you can achieve. All sorts of people (parents, media, society) can set unrealistic goals for you. They will often do this in ignorance of your own desires and ambitions. Alternatively you may be naïve in setting very high goals. You might not appreciate either the obstacles in the way, or understand quite how many skills you must master to achieve a particular level of performance.

Do not set goals too low: Just as it is important not to set goals unrealistically high, do not set them too low. People tend to do this where they are afraid of failure or where they are lazy! You should set goals so that they are slightly out of your immediate grasp, but not so far that there is no hope of achieving them. No one will put serious effort into achieving a goal that they believe is unrealistic. However, remember that your belief that a goal is unrealistic may be incorrect. If this could be the case, you can to change this belief by using imagery effectively.

Achieving Goals

When you have achieved a goal, take the time to enjoy the satisfaction of having done so. Absorb the implications of the goal achievement, and observe the progress you have made towards other goals. If the goal was a significant one, reward yourself appropriately.

With the experience of having achieved this goal, review the rest of your goal plans:
If you achieved the goal too easily, make your next goals harder
If the goal took a dispiriting length of time to achieve, make the next goals a little easier
If you learned something that would lead you to change other goals, do so
If while achieving the goal you noticed a deficit in your skills, decide whether to set goals to fix this.
Failure to meet goals does not matter as long as you learn from it. Feed lessons learned back into your goal-setting program.
Remember too that your goals will change as you mature. Adjust them regularly to reflect this growth in your personality. If goals do not hold any attraction any longer, then let them go. Goal setting is your servant, not your master. It should bring you real pleasure, satisfaction and a sense of achievement.

Example:

The best example of goal setting that you can have is to try setting your own goals. Set aside two hours to think through your lifetime goals in each of the categories. Then work back through the 25-year plan, 5-year plan, 1-year plan, 6-month plan, a 1-month plan. Finally draw up a To Do List of jobs to do tomorrow to move towards your goals.
Tomorrow, do those jobs, and start to use goal-setting routinely!Key points:

Deciding what is important for you to achieve in your life
Separating what is important from what is irrelevant
Motivating yourself to achievement
Building your self-confidence based on measured achievement of goals
You should allow yourself to enjoy the achievement of goals and reward yourself appropriately. Draw lessons where appropriate, and feed these back into future performance.

Hi guys. I'm rather free for a while now, so I've decided to blog a bit for the class and maybe it's a little something to ponder on. The stuff about to be written might be surprisingly familiar to sports athletes if they hear it time and again from their coaches, but I guess it's alright to share with the rest of you people. Although it is directly applicable to an athletes' life, the situations can still be applied to anybody's.

Follow it if you think it helps, ditch it if otherwise. It's your life. You make the choices. You live the life you want it to. You choose and you face the consequences of the choices you choose. It's all up to you.

*I'm not imposing anything on anybody, but if it weren't good, I wouldn't put it down here.*

You know... Yesterday, I went for a sports seminar organised for the sports CCAs of NJC. I don't know how many of you guys apart from me went, but that doesn't matter. The main theme for yesterday's sports lecture was "Conquering the Fear of Failure".

It spoke volumes about not needing to be afraid of failure, that to fail is necessary in order to achieve success and that to not be afraid of trying just because of fearing to fail. I feel it applies even in our social and academic life.

First, I start with a quote the lecturer left me with, " Champions hate losing but they are not afraid of losing." And to pair it up, I add on another quote from somewhere I read off, "Nobody trains for second place". The thing is, even when your studying, you should start off not being satisfied with just the pass grade. Aim high. Aim for first. The odds of you getting it is really low, but it doesn't hurt to aim for it right? I mean... Even if you aim for it and didn't achieve it, then that's just too bad. Sometimes, only one person can be the best but that doesn't have to matter. What mattes is the experience you've received from doing the process, and then being able to look back in retrospect and say, "Hey. I didn't regret getting second (or third or fourth or even last place), because I've indeed tried my best."

I know it's cliche, but still, even if it is, how many of you live by it? Everybody is a champion as long you belive yourself to be. Think that you can do anything, and indeed anything can be done. There is no need to fear not being able to succeed, because all you are doing is failing to achieve other peoples' expectations. Don't let others choose your targets and goals, because either they are beyond your reach or they are too easy for you to get it. Pick it out on your own because you know yourself best.

Before a test, just prepare duly for it. Never say beforehand, "I'm so going to flunk this" because the more you say it, the more your mind is prepared for failure. You will go into the exam with that negative mindset and your test score will be negative too. You will then go on to think that you were expected to fail, and the domino effect will continue onto the next test. Instead of saying "I'm going to flunk this", how about "I'm going to ace this" or "I'm going to get full marks for this". Why not? We should all aim for perfection, even if the chances of attaining it are so low. If we keep on doing it, and should one day we do eventually achieve that perfect score, then I say, Congratulations. You deserve it. You psyched yourself to perform to the best of your ability. You prepared yourself mentally to succeed when you think you should.

Of course, that is not enough. Brainwashing never helped anybody without any action done. Instead, it will just make matters worse. It is important to prepare yourself mentally, but still, you have to study for it! You have to read your notes. You have to do those practices. You can't possibly expect to have it all by doing nothing at all. Both aspects of mental preparation and action is needed. As (if I not wrong) Disney once said, "Ambition without action is like a bird without wings."

Ok ok. That's quite a lot that I shared with you guys. Well... I should leave some for next time. I have a couple of online articles that my coaches once sent me and I'd love to share it with you guys. Succeeding alone is never my intention. I want everybody to succeed as a team, and in this case, the team is 06S21. =D

Hey class, don't worry about being separated. What must happen will happen. Just let it be. Go along with the flow and have fun. Don't worry about something nobody can change, not you, not me, not anybody. You people damn weird lah... Tell me not to MUG and must enjoy life. I tell you all arh... STOP WORRYING AND START ENJOYING LIFE... :P (But must still do work hor...)

Ok. Finally the blog is getting a little more lively. Yay....

And I've read something about Sentosa outing? I'm all ok for it if you people want it. But... Here's the catch, somebody else organises it. :P Not me. I'm QUITE tired of it and I have a lot of other things on my mind during this period. Not that I want to put 06S21 as last priority, but its just that other issues are a little more pressing for the time being.

My recommendation is to make it on a SUNDAY!!! :) Although some might disagree... But you all decide lah. Try to get EVERYBODY TO COME HOR!!! And if you all don't want Sentosa, there's always town, Marina (I think...), East Coast Park, West Coast or even plain ol' KAP. So actually got a lot of options...

Hi guys!!! Manz... It feels weird. During the weekdays, I feel damn tired and just keep on wishing for the weekends to come, but once the weekends reaches, I feel like wanting to go back to school and seeing the class people and everybody else. Weird huh? Never mind.

I'd like to express some things here too. I'm sort of rather disappointed in the relay system. I'm not sure if all of you know the purpose of it. But it's like... A reply just indicates that you have received the message properly, so that when others do not reply, it means that somewhere down the line of passing the message, it got stuck somewhere. But now... it's like.. Only 6 of the last row people have replied me! Am I to assume the rest have not received the message? Or... Is it just that those who don't reply already know but just choose not to?

I admit. I may have quite a high expectation of the class. But it's not that I'm asking for much by replying an sms right? All I'm asking for is a little bit of responsibility, that's all. To that, I'd like to thank those who did reply me because it makes my job a little bit easier. =D

Ok ok. That felt kind of tense to me. Never mind. I'd said my piece of mind. It's over. Just... Do step out of you comfort zone and help cooperate a little ok?

Hi class!!! Hope more of you all are visiting the blog. :) But from what it seems, it's like only Shaun, Jason and me frequent this place. The rest of you all are welcome to post entries too! Don't be shy... We (or at least, I) don't bite. =P

Ok ok. Today is a special day right? Happy Valentine's Day to all of you, girls and guys alike. I was quite glad that some of you kept the class spirit alive by exchanging each other gifts and the sorts. Very sweet things to do. I'd also like to publicly thank those who gave me gifts, namely Yueh-Hsin (To Darius: NO! She didn't give me her heart.), Jean, Si Jing, Jerrine, Melissa (non 06S21). The gifts were really nice. Once again, THANKS!!!

Now for a little admin stuffs to take note.

1. Please please please please collect can tabs. I'm begging you guys!!! Help me out on this please. Thanks. Just 10 per person. That's all. It's a class collaboration effort, not a one-man show, so I really appreciate your help.

2. I will be coming up wif a class relay system to effectively transmit information throughout the class. I find this to be especially useful for our class considering we spend very very little time together. I hope that all of you will cooperate fully with this system because it requires everybody's responsibility to ensure its continued success. Hope it works out.

3. I need volunteers to do a 100 word pledge about... something. Can't remember off-hand now. Refer to Ray Chuan. Or somebody please remind me about this in school tomorrow during Contact period. Thanks!!

Hi 06S21! Actually, I know at this point of time of blogging, it's not to anybody because nobody knows of the address yet. But fret not, all of you will get to know this blog and I hope you people do check it out often. It will be updated by many people, but as far as I'm concerned, I'm using this as a platform to dish out last-minute announcements or even announcements that have been previously released before.

But there's no need to take this blog as a very formal and official one. For those who will have access to it and able to post posts, you may post about anything under the sun or about any interesting things you wish to share with the rest of the class.

Also, if there are any additions and/or changes any of you think will made this blog a better one, do tell me about it and I can make the necessary amendments or at least I can sanction it for you people to make the changes yourself. I do want this blog to look nicer but I'm not so much a tech-geek myself.

Much is said and as much as I wish to enjoy my stay in NJC here as an 06S21ian, I do hope that all of you enjoy yourselves here. May this blog strengthen the bonds between us and also foster new friendships between those who haven't been together with each other often.
